Biographical Sketch:
Gina is the Nurse Clinician and Heart Transplant Coordinator for the
Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute of Northwestern Memorial's Center for
Heart Failure. She provides and coordinates care for patients after
heart surgery in the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit, working
closely with the cardiothoracic surgeons, cardiologists, and
anesthesiologists. She is also a member of the cardiac procurement
team, and coordinates the care for heart transplant patients in the
inpatient setting.
Gina has over 13 years of cardiothoracic
surgical nursing experience and has worked at Northwestern Memorial
Hospital since 1999. She is a member of the American Heart
Association's Council on Cardiovascular Nursing and Sigma Theta Tau
International Honor Society of Nursing.
